‘Fibra’ is the Latin root for the word fiber, or a fine thread. It defines the connective tissue both between and within Unimuke and Priya’s bodies of work. Each deals with interiority and form, each with vastly different approach. Fibra refers to the thread that connects Unimuke’s negative space figuration to the spaces of contemplation that occupy Priya’s portraits.

Embark on a journey through the intricate threads of ‘Fibra’ at Billie Elise NY, where Priya Peña & Unimuke Agada’s art intertwine to explore the depths of interiority and form. Join us for the opening show on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, from 5pm - 9pm. The showcase will then be open Sunday, June 2nd 3-6pm, by appointment and from 6-8pm daily from June 3rd to June 7th.
